Author’s Note: On this page, I display questions I’ve answered through emails and questions people have asked me in person. These questions people ask me are mostly about my writing. Some questions you might have about my writing could be answered through here by other people.
Question: “I noticed you wrote a lot about love, loss, and relationships in the summer of 2019. What brought this on and where do you usually get your inspiration for your writing from?”
Answer: This past summer in 2019 someone I knew was going through a breakup. They consulted me and I asked them if it was okay for me to write about it. I haven’t written about those types of feelings before so I viewed it as an opportunity to grow and learn writing it. They gave me their permission and then I wrote about it. And for an added challenge for myself. I wrote some of the things we talked about in Hmong for me to practice writing Hmong. I also added my own input too. My inspirations for my writings come from things that happen to me or around me. Of course, if it involves someone I know, I ask for permission from them before I write about it. Inspirations come to me also at the worse times. For example, sometimes I would get inspiration right before going to sleep. Then I would get up and write a little bit before going to sleep. Due to this, I have many little unfinished projects just sitting and gathering virtual dust in my google drive lol.
Question: “Have you ever written for anybody else? Have you ever been featured on someone else’s blog?”
Answer: This past December (2019) I had the fun opportunity of being able to write for someone else’s blog! My good and kind friend Linh asked me to write a little snippet for her blog. Click on this link to visit Linh’s blog and see what I had to write about! Thank you, Linh! —–>>> http://hinundwieda.de/2019/12/25/this-is-manting/

Question: “When did you begin writing and what about writing do you like?”
Answer: I began to write stories and poems freshmen year of college. There wasn’t any particular reason why I began to write. I actually disliked writing growing up. The physical action of writing with pen and paper was so tedious for me. But writing as in typing on my phone or laptop has transformed writing into something more fun. Once I finished my first couple of stories. I noticed it became sort of therapeutic for me. Allowing me to put my emotions and the emotions of other people around me into words and text. And from then on, it has slowly grown and grown into this writing collection where I can upload some words that I think and hope people are able to relate to.
